Serena Williams hails Tiger Woods’ influence as she continues her US Open run

Serena Williams was in no mood to talk about Tiger Woods on Monday, and instead praised his influence on her career.
The defending champion was at centre stage at the U.S. Open in Dallas for the first time since falling in the semi-finals to France’s Marion Bartoli in 2008. She made it seem like her time with Woods was just another challenge along the way.
Williams was asked about her relationship with Woods after her match against Bartoli.
“I don’t really know about it. I know he’s a great guy and that’s enough for me,” she said with a big smile.
