Woman who alleges rape by Danny Masterson delivers emotional testimony over four days in New York
Masterson’s attorney, Paul Dorfman, said his client was a “very different man” after he was charged with rape in February, but he also acknowledged that Masterson was remorseful
Mastenon denies the charges
A woman who has accused one of the most high-profile men on American television of rape told a New York court on Monday that she did not report the assault to police because she had ‘a lot of problems’ with him.
The woman, who has alleged she was raped in March by actor and former boyfriend Danny Masterson in Las Vegas, and who called Masterson ‘Mr America,’ told the court that Masterson had ‘grabbed my breasts during sexual intercourse’ and ‘bumped my head into the wall’ in a hotel room, and that she had not reported the assault to police because she and her friends could not afford a lawyer.
She also testified that she did not call police because she feared what Masterson would do to her children if she came forward.
‘I have a lot of problems with him. I love him, and I know he does too,’ the woman said.
Masterson, who played the wealthy father of one of the Kardashians on the US version of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is charged with one count of third degree rape and 14 counts of sexual abuse. He has pleaded not guilty.
‘I was very angry at the time. I hated him. But I really love him. And he’s my best friend,’ the woman said.
Masterson denies the charges, saying he would never cause the woman pain.
The woman, who is now a legal permanent resident of the US, said she had been dating Masterson for about six months before what she believed was an early-morning encounter in a Las Vegas hotel room.
The woman told the court that she had not reported the assault to police because she had ‘a lot of problems’ with Masterson and she ‘was trying to protect everyone around me’
‘He told me we would sleep together a lot, but he didn’t tell me about the sex we had on the first night to try to get me to stay on his side. I was angry and humiliated and I was
